Daren McGavren LEAD GUITAR

After college and following graduation from Hollywood’s prestigious Guitar Institute of Technology, Daren made it to the Bay Area.  Along the way performing at festivals, casinos, and night clubs throughout California and Nevada, where he has shared the stage with Journey, Robben Ford, and Randy Meisner.

The best illustration of his rock ability was Daren's role as “Keith” in the Unauthorized Rolling Stones, a popular bay area tribute band.

     Darren continues to teach privately.

"Professor" Paul Young KEYBOARD-GUITAR

Paul's musical career began in the upstate New York chitlin circuit, where he developed a lasting fondness for pork chop sandwiches and sweet potato pie.

After a 20-year break to raise a litter of kids Professor Young founded the Blue Swamis, a blues and jam band.  The Blue Swamis have shared the stage with Eric Lindell, Papa Mali, members of the Dead Kennedys and a long list of others.

As a founding member of Spill the Wine the Professor brings an eclectic selection of toe tapping repertoire to the party.

Steve Middleton DRUMS

Steve Middleton started playing drums in high school on the east coast.  He thought he hit the big time when the band he was in was called to replace Hall and Oats at a town celebration.  The band was not immediately signed to a record deal, allowing Steve to continue playing in a range of bands through college.  His genres include funk, pop, rock and any tune that gets people up and moving.

Often mistaken for Nicolas Cage, Steve's  favorite movie is Raising Arizona.

Tony Contreras Congas & Percussion

Growing up in El Salvador, Tony developed a passion for music - especially dance music!  His musical tastes were honed at San Francisco's Mission High School where he started playing percussion instruments.

Tony has provided the beat for Grupo Conciencia, San Francisco Gold Band and, for the last 6 years he has been part of the Spill The Wine family.
